Try turning off your power supply via the switch on the back -> then hit the power button to remove residual power -> remove the CMOS battery -> use the bios reset jumper, leaving it jumper-ed for 10 mins -> return everything back to normal and try to boot.

If that doesnt work, You can also try putting the bios image on a usb drive and and try to boot the system. It "may" recover itself.

Removed CMOS battery for about 2 hours, afterwards POST and boot both went great. Thank you very much!

Now to hope the Bios update helps me fix my original issue.

Yes it will.

You might need to track down a driver or two. I don't think so though.

That sounds like it's getting hot and shutting down.

Is the fan(s) on your heatsink still spinning?

If it has push-pins securing the heatsink to the motherboard check that they're all still "engaged' on/through the backside of the motherboard.

MBR because you moved this drive with the already installed Win10 from another computer?

Also check your VRMs, if the VRM heatsinks are not getting enough airflow that could cause your issue too.

Yeah, it was the ram. I reset the ram and now its fine. UGH. But I used the XMP profile, and I specifically bought Gskill RAM that was Samsung B die with 14-14-14-34 timings so I could overclock to DDR4 3200 :(

Any ideas on further tweaks so I can get it stable?

Yeah it's a bit of a bummer that the XMP profiles don't always work without a bit of tweaking. I'm betting you can run 2933 with zero fuss until you can fine tune 3200. I had the Tridents as well and couldn't get them to boot at 3200 at all a month ago. They're making great progress though so sometime in the foreseeable future these things won't be a problem.

After the Bios update my original problem with graphics display is fixed slightly, I no longer get Blue screens.

However, when I try to play any game on Steam, I get a few second freezes every few seconds. Basically 50% of the time works fine and the other half my screen is frozen. After this for ~10 minutes, the game will freeze completely.

So far I've tried:
-Cleaning display drivers with DDU, cleaning registery with CCleaner and then reinstalling drivers.
-Cleaning display drivers with DDU, cleaning registery with CCleaner and then installing older drivers.
-Running system check for corrupt files
-Checking my drives for any corruptions
-Complete clean reinstalling Windows 10
-Reinstalled Windows 10 again, but didn't update it to try out if any windows update was causing it
-Now did the Bios update

Basically I feel that a part of my hardware is defect, but is my GPU? My motherboard possibly? My PSU as you pointed out?

Hey ATLien

I have a similar problem and so this post is really useful. Before i venture out to buy a GPU card, wanted to know the exact symptom you had.

In my case I also do not get anything in the monitor but the PC seems to be in a reboot loop. i.e. comes on for a while and then shuts off and then comes on again. Was this what you saw?

I am wondering if I have some other issue besides the GPU missing

Thanks

Hi,
Someone heard something? Some people say the latest bios with Agesa 1.0.0.6 is worse than previous version in OC.

if you don't feel like messing with the settings, just choose xmp and then from drop down menu go with 2933. 2933 vs 3200 is minimal difference.

i got the same ram as yours, but the cheaper cas 16 version with hynix die and same motherboard. i can boot fine @ 3200, but it crashes when i game. with 2933 is been rock solid so far.

also, this may sound dumb..........but in what slots did you install the memory?

a1 + b1? or a2 + b2?

try going xmp @ 3200 with rams installed in A2 and B2 (second from the left and fourth from the left).

This simple fix enabled my ram to go 2933, before i was only able to go 2400.

Hi ! I'm thinking to buy a Beebox-S 7200U but my monitor is only VGA/DVI.
I wonder if I can connect it to the HDMI port of the Beebox with an adaptor HDMI > DVI ?
I read somewhere that DP to DVI dongles are not supported, but I can't find anything about HDMI to DVI. Is there anyone here who has done that ?

So I went ahead and ordered another Killer SLI AC.

If my memory isn't compatible, can you suggest a 32GB kit that is or would I be better off going with 4X8GB? My plan was to upgrade to 64GB due to working with 4K video mostly.

I am just now having these issues with my old M4 ssd with it just disappearing.

Hopefully an update is in order, plan to buy a new M.2 SSD anyway.

Can anyone suggest one that wont have this issue? NVME or not.

I just had the same problem ... I just bought an Asrock Fatil1ty z270 Gaming K6, specifically as I had a USB 3.1 Type C connection I wanted to utilise.

After installing Windows 10 (v1703 Build 15063.413), I decided to get onto the Asrock website, update my BIOS (Z27GK62.10) and grab the latest (June 2017) drivers from Asrock and proceed to update.

I've only just managed to connect my Drobo 5C via USB 3.1c and it would not detect it. It worked fine up on the rear USB 3.0 ports (using the Drobo supplied cable).

So after reading this post, I decided to uninstall the 'updated' Asmedia USB 3.1 drivers v1.16.38.1 (dated 2016) I got from the Asmedia download page and leave the default Microsoft 1.1 (v10.0.15063.296 27th April 2017) driver installed.

I reconnected the Drobo and presto ... worked straight away on the Microsoft 3.1 System Drivers. Actually this version of Windows 10 fresh on this motherboard is the first time I've seen Windows detect all non-intel devices and correctly configure all drivers without mismatch. Looks like I'll stick with the Microsoft drivers for USB 3.1, not the Asmedia ones for now.

Yeah I have to agree, sounds like a device driver, not a hardware issue. when you are installing your chipset/video card drivers make sure you temp disable windows defender...That gave me alot of issues with AMD drivers. Failed/Partial installs.

Your PSU should be sufficient, maybe not the most efficient, but adequate to run your system.. Coolermaster has a calculator to help judge about how many watts ure system should use/need.
