Let's see, on the Intel side, the Z270M Pro4 board ($120 vs the AB350M Pro4 at $80) has at best two QVL memory models at 3733. Intel has almost three years of experience with DDR4 memory in use with their processors. AMD has... three months of experience with DDR4 in use with their processors?
If and when we ever have any DDR4 4000 memory models running well AT 4000 on even the best of the current generation of Ryzen boards, the chances you'll see it in the QVL of the AB350M Pro4, or any other $80 board, are very small.
